Juggling with Hedgehogs

Watching people deny legitimate criticisms is like watching someone juggle hedgehogs. Each one is a painful challenge, but instead of accepting the blindingly obvious conclusion (they’re wrong/stop juggling hedgehogs), they bravely try to preserve existing beliefs (they’re right/juggling hedgehogs is clever) by concentrating on everything so briefly that they don’t actually concentrate on anything at all.
